The Landlady

Base on the short story The Landlady by Roald Dahl, As the story, opens with Billy Weaver who has traveled alone from London to Bath for a work assignment. And the story begins with Billy and Landlady when they meet each other in the old lady's house. From the story, we can simply assume that the Landlady character more likely as a person with mental illness who interest in killing and stuffed humans and animals. For example, as the writer illustrates in the story she has stuffed dead bird and dog even human in her house.

In particularly why the Landlady acted as the storyline of this short story, Firstly we could say that the old lady is interested in horror and thriller action as murder or killing and keeping the body of the victim for fun with a freak hobby. Furthermore, she lives with no one around that could lead her to this kind of unacceptable acted that she does. Hence she absolutely in poor mental illness which no normal human being will acting like how "The Landlady" described in this short story.

Without a doubt, Patrick ends his speech by saying that he will provide her wife with money and take care of her and he hopes no problem in any case because that will be affected by his job as a policeman.

The announcement that she had effected her emotionally because she loses the man she loves the most in her life as her husband. Moreover, she is pregnant and this will be a nightmare to her condition emotionally and physiologically.

The reaction of Mary Maloney is personally unbelievable to think by killing her beloved husband. In the first place, she acted like nothing happened and she ready to prepare supper for both of them. Afterward, she carried the leg of lamb upstairs and swing hard to the back of Patrick's head and her husband collapse in a few seconds later. THE NECKLACE

This short story "The Necklace" by Guy De Maupassant tells about the life of one lovely couple that lives in France. Their life is not luxurious and not poor but just simple. Base on the story my favorite character is Mathilde Loisel's husband. He's the one lovely and kind husband and willing to do just anything to please his wife. And he willing to buy a new dress for his wife worth four hundred francs of from saving money.

Also, her husband was a very patient and diligent person. For example, he worked hard to replace the lost jewelry of his wife borrowed from Mrs.Forestier to attend to a special party. After so much effort that her husband work on he managed to buy a replacement or the lost necklace which is worth almost thirty-six thousand francs.

Furthermore, Mathilde's husband is an honorable person and also sets a good example for everyone, especially for men how to be a good husband and responsible in all situations. Despite the need to make great sacrifices. For example, he had to spend ten years paying off his debt and losing everything to make his wife happy. For the most part, we all should take a great example from this interesting story.
